Game Rules and Special Notice

Read it. Know it. Live it.

1. Multiple Accounts, Same IP/IED

Each person can have only 1 login to the games and game forums of Overlord Productions. This obviously means you can have only 1 account you use to login. If you play 3 different games and also use the forums, ALL logins to Overlord Productions sites must use the same login. You can not use a different login for different games and you cannot use a different login for the forums vs. for the game. The above apply unless you have recieved special leave of access from one of Overlord Productions staff or from one officially designated by Overlord Productions ("one of Overlord Productions") to make the determination.
If you share an IP with someone (for the majority of your logins) or share an internet enabled device ("IED"), then you have the following restrictions, unless granted special leave:


• You must pick a different starting quadrant.
• You can never gang up to attack the same player.
• You can never steal from each other.
• To help avoid accidental violations of the above, it is strongly recommended that you not play in the same cartel.
2. Password Sharing

You can never, under any circumstances, share your Overlord Productions login password with anyone for any reason.

3. Accessing Someone Else's Account

You can never, under any circumstances, login to another Overlord Productions account for any reason.

4. Account Transfers

You can never, under any circumstances, transfer your Overlord Productions login account to anyone for any reason.

5. Stat Padding

If you allow someone to steal from you, it is considered stat padding. If you steal from someone because they are allowing you to steal from them, it is considered stat padding.
Stealing from a "farm" is NOT considered stat padding.
The ONLY time you may allow steals, is if you are attacking your own cartelmates. These steals don't improve your stats and if you want to steal from each other, go ahead. For purposes of allowed attacks, sister cartels and allied cartels are NOT considered to be the same cartel.

6. Friendly-Fire WMD Attacks

You can not fire a WMD at someone to help them get WMD protection. All WMD attacks must be valid attempts to inflict pain on the target player.

7. Exploits & Bugs

If you have ANY doubt if what you are doing might be considered an exploit, then you need to post it in the forums AND not use the exploit until you get clarification from one of Overlord Productions.

8. Overly Abusive Behavior

Any form of real-life threat, or overly abusive behavior can lead to an account ban.

9. Script Kiddies

Any attempt to automate any aspect of the game or data collection from the game are bannable offenses. Do not install any script into your browser for use in the game!. Not only is it bannable, but it's also an easy way for someone to steal you login information.

Information we collect

• Information you give us. For example, many of our services require you to sign up for a Overlord Productions Account. When you do, we’ll ask for personal information, like your email address. If you want to take full advantage of the features we offer, you might also want to register an account on our Forums, in which you will control what information you post.
• Information we get from your use of our services. We may collect information about the services that you use and how you use them. This information includes:
  • Device information
    We may collect device-specific information (such as your hardware model and operating system version).
  • Log information
    When you use our services or view content provided by Overlord Productions, we may automatically collect and store certain information in server logs. This may include:
    • details of how you used our service, such as pages visited.
    • device event information such as hardware settings, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and referral URL.
    • cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your Overlord Productions Account.
  • Local storage
    We may collect and store information (including personal information) locally on your device using mechanisms such as browser web storage (including HTML 5) and application data caches.
  • Cookies and anonymous identifiers
    We use various technologies to collect and store information when you visit an Overlord Productions service, and this may include sending one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers to your device.

  We use the information we collect from all of our services to provide, maintain, protect and improve them, to develop new ones, and to protect Overlord Productions and our users.
  When you contact Overlord Productions, we may keep a record of your communication to help solve any issues you might be facing. We may use your email address to inform you about our services, such as letting you know about upcoming changes or improvements.
  We use information collected from cookies and other technologies to improve your user experience and the overall quality of our services.
  We will ask for your consent before using information for a purpose other than those that are set out in this Privacy Policy.
  Overlord Productions processes personal information on servers in the United States. As such, we process your personal information on a server that may be located outside the country where you live.

  Transparency and choice

  People have different privacy concerns. Our goal is to be clear about what information we collect, so that you can make meaningful choices about how it is used.>br> You may set your browser to block all cookies, including cookies associated with our services, or to indicate when a cookie is being set by us. However, it’s important to remember that many of our services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled.

  Accessing and updating your personal information

  Whenever you use our services, we aim to provide you with access to your personal information. If that information is wrong, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it – unless we have to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When updating your personal information, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can act on your request.
  We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or fundamentally changing an existing practice), risk the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup systems).
  Where we can provide information access and correction, we will do so for free, except where it would require a disproportionate effort. We aim to maintain our services in a manner that protects information from accidental or malicious destruction. Because of this, after you delete information from our services, we may not remove information from our backup systems.

  Information we share

  We do not share personal information with companies, organizations and individuals outside of Overlord Productions unless one of the following circumstances apply:
  • With people contractually affiliated with Overlord Productions
    We may share personal information with individuals outside of Overlord Productions who are contractually affiliated (have made a contractual agreement) with us. Any Overlord Affilate who we grant access may be able to:
    • view statistics regarding your account.
    • change your account password.
    • suspend or terminate your account access.
    • access or retain information stored as part of your account.
    • receive your account information in order to satisfy applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
    • restrict your ability to delete or edit information or privacy settings.
  • For legal reasons
    We will share personal information with companies, organizations or individuals outside of Google if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
    • meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
    • enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.
    • detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues.
    • protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Overlord Productions, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.
  If Overlord Productions is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of any personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

  Information security

  We work hard to protect Overlord Productions and our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of information we hold. In particular:
  • We review our information collection, storage, and processing practices, including physical security measures, to guard against unauthorized access to systems.
  • We restrict access to personal information to Overlord Productions employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to process it for us, and who are subject to strict contractual confidentiality obligations and may be disciplined or terminated if they fail to meet these obligations.

  Application

  Our Privacy Policy applies to all of the services offered by Overlord Productions and its affiliates, but excludes services that have separate privacy policies that do not incorporate this Privacy Policy.
  Our Privacy Policy does not apply to services offered by other companies or individuals, including products or sites that may be displayed to you in the forums, or other sites linked from our services.

  Enforcement

  We regularly review our compliance with our Privacy Policy. When we receive formal written complaints, we will contact the person who made the complaint to follow up. We work with the appropriate regulatory authorities, including local data protection authorities, to resolve any complaints regarding the transfer of personal data that we cannot resolve with our users directly.

  Changes

  Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including notification in-game and requiring your consent before you may continue). We will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for your review.

  Personal information

  This is information which you provide to us which personally identifies you, such as your email address, or other data which can be reasonably linked to such information.

  Overlord Productions Account

  You may access most of our services by signing up for an Overlord Productions Account and providing us with some personal information (typically your email address and a password). This account information will be used to authenticate you when you access Overlord Productions services and protect your account from unauthorized access by others. You can edit or suspend your account at any time through your Overlord Productions Account settings or by messaging one of the game admins or some staff.

  Cookie

  A cookie is a small file containing a string of characters that is sent to your computer when you visit a website. When you visit the website again, the cookie allows that site to recognize your browser. Cookies may store user preferences and other information. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some website features or services may not function properly without cookies.

  Anonymous identifier

  An anonymous identifier is a random string of characters that is used for the same purposes as a cookie on platforms, including certain mobile devices, where cookie technology is not available.

  IP address

  Every computer connected to the Internet is assigned a unique number known as an Internet Protocol (IP) address. Since these numbers are usually assigned in country-based blocks, an IP address can often be used to identify the country from which a computer is connecting to the Internet.

  Server logs

  Like most websites, our sites are set up with web analytics (a "tracker"), which automatically record the page requests made when you visit our sites. These “server logs” typically include your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. Here is an example of a typical log entry from the United States, followed by a breakdown of its parts:

  • 127.0.0.1 is the Internet Protocol address assigned to the user by the user’s ISP; depending on the user’s service, a different address may be assigned to the user by their service provider each time they connect to the Internet;

  • cob.semsem.x10.mx/ is the requested URL;
  • Firefox 22.0 Win7 is the browser and operating system being used; and
  • 1440x900 is the screen resolution of the the device requesting the URL.

  This is information that is recorded about users so that it no longer reflects or references an individually identifiable user. >

  AGREEMENT TO TERMS

   

  These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and Overlord Productions, doing business as Kings of Tara ("Kings of Tara", “we”, “us”, or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the https://2.kot.x10.mx/ website as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website or mobile application related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”). You agree that by accessing the Site, you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms of Use. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE TERMS OF USE, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING THE SITE AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.

   

  Supplemental terms and conditions or documents that may be posted on the Site from time to time are hereby expressly incorporated herein by reference. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Terms of Use at any time and for any reason.   USER REGISTRATION

   

  You may be required to register with the Site. You agree to keep your password confidential and will be responsible for all use of your account and password. We reserve the right to remove, reclaim, or change a username you select if we determine, in our sole discretion, that such username is inappropriate, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

  You may not access or use the Site for any purpose other than that for which we make the Site available. The Site may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavors except those that are specifically endorsed or approved by us.

  20.  Upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) viruses, Trojan horses, or other material, including excessive use of capital letters and spamming (continuous posting of repetitive text), that interferes with any party’s uninterrupted use and enjoyment of the Site or modifies, impairs, disrupts, alters, or interferes with the use, features, functions, operation, or maintenance of the Site. 

  21.  Upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) any material that acts as a passive or active information collection or transmission mechanism, including without limitation, clear graphics interchange formats (“gifs”), 1×1 pixels, web bugs, cookies, or other similar devices (sometimes referred to as “spyware” or “passive collection mechanisms” or “pcms”). 

  22.  Except as may be the result of standard search engine or Internet browser usage, use, launch, develop, or distribute any automated system, including without limitation, any spider, robot, cheat utility, scraper, or offline reader that accesses the Site, or using or launching any unauthorized script or other software. 

  23.  Disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm, in our opinion, us and/or the Site. 

  24.  Use the Site in a manner inconsistent with any applicable laws or regulations. 

   

  
  

  USER GENERATED CONTRIBUTIONS

   

  The Site may invite you to chat, contribute to, or participate in blogs, message boards, online forums, and other functionality, and may provide you with the opportunity to create, submit, post, display, transmit, perform, publish, distribute, or broadcast content and materials to us or on the Site, including but not limited to text, writings, video, audio, photographs, graphics, comments, suggestions, or personal information or other material (collectively, "Contributions"). Contributions may be viewable by other users of the Site and through third-party websites. As such, any Contributions you transmit may be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. When you create or make available any Contributions, you thereby represent and warrant that:

    

  1.  The creation, distribution, transmission, public display, or performance, and the accessing, downloading, or copying of your Contributions do not and will not infringe the proprietary rights, including but not limited to the copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or moral rights of any third party.
  2.  You are the creator and owner of or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, releases, and permissions to use and to authorize us, the Site, and other users of the Site to use your Contributions in any manner contemplated by the Site and these Terms of Use.
  3.  You have the written consent, release, and/or permission of each and every identifiable individual person in your Contributions to use the name or likeness of each and every such identifiable individual person to enable inclusion and use of your Contributions in any manner contemplated by the Site and these Terms of Use.
  4.  Your Contributions are not false, inaccurate, or misleading.
  5.  Your Contributions are not unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, pyramid schemes, chain letters, spam, mass mailings, or other forms of solicitation.
  6.  Your Contributions are not obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, violent, harassing, libelous, slanderous, or otherwise objectionable (as determined by us).
  7.  Your Contributions do not ridicule, mock, disparage, intimidate, or abuse anyone.
  8.  Your Contributions do not advocate the violent overthrow of any government or incite, encourage, or threaten physical harm against another.
  9.  Your Contributions do not violate any applicable law, regulation, or rule.
  10.  Your Contributions do not violate the privacy or publicity rights of any third party.
  11.  Your Contributions do not contain any material that solicits personal information from anyone under the age of 18 or exploits people under the age of 18 in a sexual or violent manner.
  12.  Your Contributions do not violate any federal or state law concerning child pornography, or otherwise intended to protect the health or well-being of minors;
  13.  Your Contributions do not include any offensive comments that are connected to race, national origin, gender, sexual preference, or physical handicap.
  14.  Your Contributions do not otherwise violate, or link to material that violates, any provision of these Terms of Use, or any applicable law or regulation.

  
  

  Any use of the Site in violation of the foregoing violates these Terms of Use and may result in, among other things, termination or suspension of your rights to use the Site.

   

   

  CONTRIBUTION LICENSE

   

  By posting your Contributions to any part of the Site, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to us an unrestricted, unlimited, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free, fully-paid, worldwide right, and license to host, use, copy, reproduce, disclose, sell, resell, publish, broadcast, retitle, archive, store, cache, publicly perform, publicly display, reformat, translate, transmit, excerpt (in whole or in part), and distribute such Contributions (including, without limitation, your image and voice) for any purpose, commercial, advertising, or otherwise, and to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such Contributions, and grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing. The use and distribution may occur in any media formats and through any media channels.

   

  This license will apply to any form, media, or technology now known or hereafter developed, and includes our use of your name, company name, and franchise name, as applicable, and any of the trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and personal and commercial images you provide. You waive all moral rights in your Contributions, and you warrant that moral rights have not otherwise been asserted in your Contributions.

   

  We do not assert any ownership over your Contributions. You retain full ownership of all of your Contributions and any intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights associated with your Contributions. We are not liable for any statements or representations in your Contributions provided by you in any area on the Site. You are solely responsible for your Contributions to the Site and you expressly agree to exonerate us from any and all responsibility and to refrain from any legal action against us regarding your Contributions.  

   

  We have the right, in our sole and absolute discretion, (1) to edit, redact, or otherwise change any Contributions; (2) to re-categorize any Contributions to place them in more appropriate locations on the Site; and (3) to pre-screen or delete any Contributions at any time and for any reason, without notice. We have no obligation to monitor your Contributions. 

   

  GUIDELINES FOR REVIEWS

   

  We may provide you areas on the Site to leave reviews or ratings. When posting a review, you must comply with the following criteria: (1) you should have firsthand experience with the person/entity being reviewed; (2) your reviews should not contain offensive profanity, or abusive, racist, offensive, or hate language; (3) your reviews should not contain discriminatory references based on religion, race, gender, national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, or disability; (4) your reviews should not contain references to illegal activity; (5) you should not be affiliated with competitors if posting negative reviews; (6) you should not make any conclusions as to the legality of conduct; (7) you may not post any false or misleading statements; and (8) you may not organize a campaign encouraging others to post reviews, whether positive or negative. 

   

  We may accept, reject, or remove reviews in our sole discretion. We have absolutely no obligation to screen reviews or to delete reviews, even if anyone considers reviews objectionable or inaccurate. Reviews are not endorsed by us, and do not necessarily represent our opinions or the views of any of our affiliates or partners. We do not assume liability for any review or for any claims, liabilities, or losses resulting from any review. By posting a review, you hereby grant to us a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, fully-paid, assignable, and sublicensable right and license to reproduce, modify, translate, transmit by any means, display, perform, and/or distribute all content relating to reviews.

     

  SUBMISSIONS

   

  You acknowledge and agree that any questions, comments, suggestions, ideas, feedback, or other information regarding the Site ("Submissions") provided by you to us are non-confidential and shall become our sole property. We shall own exclusive rights, including all intellectual property rights, and shall be entitled to the unrestricted use and dissemination of these Submissions for any lawful purpose, commercial or otherwise, without acknowledgment or compensation to you. You hereby waive all moral rights to any such Submissions, and you hereby warrant that any such Submissions are original with you or that you have the right to submit such Submissions.
